Now that we’ve somewhat dug out from this winter’s latest snow (knock on wood…), I guess it’s time for the state of the Amitron Corporation address. We live by the motto;“When the times get tough, the tough get going”! We’re not sure about the other guy you buy circuit boards from, but we’re going to be here for you! Guaranteed!

Quicksilver Vertical Lead Free Solder leveling system

Now, after 5 years of field testing, Quicksilver has been proven capable of achieving exceptional results with lead free solders. Assemblers and Board fabricators will be pleased to know that these developments provide flatter and more uniform surface finishes. System enhancements include a new patented tip design that provides improved hole clearing and surface uniformity, while allowing thicker minimum and thinner maximum deposits with most alloys.

Who’s That?

This smiling face is Dinela Visan, Quality Control Coordinator. Dinela’s home is originally Romania, as her accent suggests! Dinela is both thorough and enjoyable in carrying out her duties which include maintaining and updating our ISO procedures, corrective action, and maintaining Amitron’s calibration system. In the unlikely event you need to contact our quality department, Dinela will make sure your experience is pleasant, and issues are 100% addressed.

Dinela joined the Amitron team in June of 2006, bringing her past experience in quality and ISO documentation, procedures and a variety of quality related functions to Amitron. She regularly interacts with both customers and the production floor to make sure procedures, corrective action, and other documentation is carried out in a timely fashion.

What’s the bottom line?

Well kids, last year there was talk of a recession… welcome to the party! I say that somewhat tongue in cheek, because even though my stock portfolio currently looks like a turkey carcass the day after Thanksgiving, there’s a lot of business out there to be had by someone. You just need to get out and find it.“Boots on the pavement” as our fearless leader Milan Mortimer preaches! I’m passing this information along to my customers, so you’ll send your sales people out to find new business, then the next time you see Amitron’s phone # show up on your caller ID, you’ll pick up the phone, and agree to meet, or email over that next RFQ!
